B.L.A. 3rd INTERNATIONAL GUPPY SHOW REPORT - 2008

The event, our third international show, was certainly a great success, even more entries than last year and a truly international line up with entries from Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Belgium, France and the UK.
No less than 154 pairs were put before the panel of judges:
   Trevor Douglas (UK),        Claus Osche (Germany),       Nico Roselli (Italy),
   Diego Montanari (Italy)   and   Eddy VanVoorden (Belgium)
Our grateful thanks to all the judges for undertaking such a daunting task with dedication and professionalism. 

Once again the display was second to none with the new venue making it possible for the whole event, show, auction, sales table, lectures and trade stands to be in the same room, not forgetting the B.L.A. Wild fish show which again increased entries.

Several, well attended, lectures took place on the Saturday, our thanks to the lecturers for their time and imparting their knowledge on a whole range of subjects connected to the hobby.

The new auction format was judged a success, raising a record amount for the B.L.A. funds, after a few possible "tweaks" the format will be repeated for the October 2009 show. 

Such a show would not be possible without the visitors and  exhibitors including our overseas friends, trade suppliers, sponsors ,plus the army willing volunteers, some of whom worked tirelessly the whole four days to stage the show
